How to Install USB Ports
Most computers today only come with two to three USB ports. The problem is that most people have more peripherals than that. Add a webcam, a mouse, a storage device, an MP3 player and a camera and you can see how easy it is to overload your computer. There's a simple solution to this problem that doesn't require you to constantly plug in and unplug devices; install a USB hub.

1
Begin with your computer turned off and plug the USB hub into one of the open USB ports on your computer.
-
2
Turn your computer on and the operating system will find the USB ports. You should not need any additional software, such as drivers, for this.

Plug in peripherals, such as your camera, MP3 player or webcam into the ports. You will need to install drivers for these devices, which should come included with the device. To do this simply put the disc into the CD player and your computer will prompt you asking to install drivers. Simply follow the instructions and you will usually, but not always need to, reboot your computer afterwards.
