How to Clean a Jacuzzi Tub with Dish Detergent

1. Fill your jacuzzi tub with warm water. Add 2 tsp. of low-foam powdered dish detergent, such as Cascade, and 1/2 cup of household bleach to the water.

2. Turn on your jacuzzi tub, running the jets for 5 to 10 minutes. This allows the cleaning agents to run thoroughly through the pipes.

3. Allow the water and detergents to sit for 1 hour if you have tough stains. This step is not necessary otherwise.

4. Drain your jacuzzi tub and refill with cold water. Circulate the cold water for 5 minutes.

5. Drain the jacuzzi tub completely. Clean your jacuzzi tub using this method once a month to keep germs and stains at bay.

Tips & Warnings

• Avoid using foamy dish detergents when cleaning your tub because these will fill your jacuzzi with bubbles. After each use, fill the jacuzzi with fresh water, run the jets for 10 minutes, and completely drain the tub. Use this method for cleaning jacuzzi tubs at hotels you may stay at.
