How to Import Your Outlook Address Book to Your BlackBerry Storm Smartphone

Import your Outlook address book into your BlackBerry smartphone.

There is nothing more annoying than having to retype all of your previous addresses in your Outlook address book into your new BlackBerry Storm smartphone. Fortunately, Outlook allows you to export your address book into a usable file that you can import into BlackBerry's contact list.

Instructions

1. Open Outlook on your computer. Click "File," "Import and Export." Select "Export to a file," and then click "Next."

2. Export the file into a .CSV format by selecting "Comma Separated Values" and click "Next."

3. Select the contact folders that you want to export and choose where you want to save the file. Click "Finish" and allow Outlook to export the .CSV file in the appropriate directory.

4. Connect to your BlackBerry Internet Service website.

5. Click the "Address Book" link, and then click "Import," them "Browse." Locate the .CSV file on your computer and select it. Click "Open," and then "Add." Allow the file to upload onto your BlackBerry.

Tips & Warnings

• Remember for sure where you save the CSV file or it will take you a while to find it if hidden within folders.
