Taking a road trip can be a lot of fun, but it can also be very boring at times. Here are a few ways to keep yourself entertained.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take plenty of stops. Try to stop at places you have never been before, or at least unique locations. This will make the trip much more fun and exciting. It will also give you something to look forward to before you get to your destination. If your destination is 1000 miles away but you have plenty of stops along the way, at fun locations, it will make the long drive much more enjoyable. If you are traveling with more than just yourself, try to let everyone pick somewhere they would like to go. That way everyone has something fun to look forward to.

  2. Step 2

Play a game. There are so many different car games to choose from, it can be hard to pick one. You will probably need a couple of people to play a game with, so hopefully you are traveling with someone. Playing a game can really make the time go faster as well. The first couple of hours of driving aren’t horribly bad, but after that you really need something to keep the trip fun. If you are driving the car have fun playing, but don't forget your main priority of driving.

  3. Step 3

If you are not the driver, it may be a good time to invest in a portable gaming system. They are actually a decent price depending on the video game system you purchase. But if you feel that it is still too expensive try a store that does trade-ins. You might can trade in some of your old video games and get one for much cheaper. If you find a good video game to bring with you, it can make a trip much more enjoyable. Also if it is a very long trip you might want to invest in a portable charger for your video game system, if not, you will really go through the batteries quickly.
