How to Burn Wii Games to a DVD

Nintendo Wii owners have the ability to save a backup copy of their Wii games to their computer in the event the original disc gets damaged. This preserved copy is typically saved as a disc image file, containing all the disc's original data. Moreover, communities of devoted Wii developers often release free Wii games which you can then burn to disc, provided it is an image file. The Internet provides various methods and solutions to burn the backup game copies you own.

• Blank DVD disc
• DVD disc writer

1. Insert a blank DVD disc into your computer's main DVD writer.

2. Download one of various programs capable of freely burning disc image files to blank DVDs. Examples of these include MagicISO, UltraISO and PowerISO.

3. Double-click to execute the downloaded file; follow all instructions as necessary, which are typically similar with all installation procedures. Read and accept the program license agreement and select whether to create a program shortcut on your Windows desktop. Once the installation completes, click "Finish" to end the procedure.

4. Double-click the installed disc image management program to initialize the disc burning process. MagicISO, UltraISO and PowerISO's "Disc Burning" feature is found within the "Tools" menu. Such features are generally presented in a similar format and layout.

5. Click the "Browse" function within the program's main "CD/DVD Image File" field.

6. Browse for the Wii image file you wish to burn to DVD using the resulting dialog prompt. Double-click the file to import it into the application.

7. Select the disc writing speed from its respective field. To help avoid a bad copy or burn, select a relatively slow speed, such as 2.4x to 6x.

8. Click the "Burn" function to initialize the disc burning procedure. Allow approximately 15 minutes for the operation to finish.
