Instructions

    • 1

Visit GMAC Financial Services at www.gmacfs.com and create your user account by clicking on "register now." You won't be able to make GMAC car payments online without an account.

    • 2

Enter your account information in the appropriate fields and verify your email address as instructed.

    • 3

Log in and click on "Account Summary," and your accounts will be displayed. All of your GMAC accounts can be accessed through this interface, including home mortgages and insurance.

    • 4

Click on "Make One-Time Payment" from the Account Summary screen. Decide whether you'd like to pay the entire amount due. You can choose to pay more or less than the amount due. Enter a payment date and continue.

    • 5

Choose to use a credit card or electronic check and follow the on-screen instructions for completing each transaction. Your online GMAC car payment won't be complete until you verify that you've read the user agreement and pass the confirmation screen, which shows you how much you're paying and which account you're using.

    • 6

Check your email after you've confirmed the request, because it won't be final until you've verified the payment through the email. The same information you saw on the confirmation screen will be emailed to you as an additional security feature.

Tips & Warnings

  • Print a copy of your authorization form for your records. Should you choose to pay less than the amount due, you should speak to a GMAC representative to inform the company that you are unable to make the entire payment. The company's acceptance of a lower payment online does not constitute a payment arrangement.
