IPods have a long battery life, allowing you to take your music and data with you wherever you go. No matter how long the battery life is, however, at some point the iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation will need to be recharged. Recharging the battery can be done in one of two ways. Just follow these instructions, and your battery will be ready to go.

  • IPod Shuffle dock (included with iPod purchase)
  • IPod USB power adapter
  • Computer

Instructions

  1. Charging With Computer

    • 1

      Turn on your computer and connect the iPod Shuffle dock to the computer by way of a high-powered USB port.

      Place the iPod Shuffle into its dock.

      Allow the Shuffle to remain connected to the computer for 3 hours. It will fully charge in that time. Disconnect when the charge is complete.

    Charging With USB Power Adapter

      Make sure the AC adapter plug is connected to the power adapter.

      Connect the USB end of the iPod Shuffle dock cord to the AC power adapter.

      Connect the power adapter to an outlet and allow the iPod to charge in the Shuffle dock for 3 hours. It can be disconnected before 3 hours, but 3 hours will allow it to charge fully.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not leave your iPod connected to a charger for more than 12 hours; this can damage the battery and shorten its life.
