How to Make Your Own Mouse Cursors

Most computer users want to customize their computer work environment. Making your own mouse cursor is one way to do that. If you're a musician, you may want your cursor to be a violin or a trumpet. Or perhaps you own a sports car and you'd like your cursor to be your favorite car. Whatever you want your cursor to be, you simply need to design the cursor and then put the cursor on your Windows operating system.

Things You'll Need

Tips & Warnings

  • Instead of designing your own cursor, consider getting one that has already been designed. There are many sites that offer free cursors. After you have acquired the new cursor, then you can change the colors and possibly the look and feel.

  • Many Microsoft documents refer to the cursor as a pointer.
