Buy a fancy monitor. This is the part of the computer that everyone sees and looks at the most. You should get an LCD monitor, and the bigger the better. I would suggest nothing less than a 19-inch monitor. Black monitors also tend to look more high-tech. An even better way to go is to get a video card that allows you to use two or more monitors at once.

Get a nice wireless keyboard and mouse. The more wires you see, the more distracting it will be. A good keyboard with a lot of features and extra buttons will also look high tech. Try to find a keyboard that is more than just a rectangle.

Keep it clean. One of the best and cheapest things you can do to make your computer look high-tech is to keep it clean and dust-free. Using an electronics safe wipe, clean your monitor and all of your pieces. Do this at least once a week.
