How to Install a Cabin Filter in a Subaru Forester
Replacing the cabin air filter on your Subaru Forester can be done fairly simply. You can either buy the part or make your own filter.

Purchase part for year, make and model of Subaru. If you wish to make your own filter for less check the resource box for link to great instructions.
Some vehicles may not have this filter, as it became standard around 2003. A simple inspection of your glove box will tell you if you have one or not.

The cabin filter is located in the Subaru glove box. This is an easy to remove filter. Just remove the screws and clips and take off the whole glove box, for easiest replacement.

Insert the new filter into its holder. Bend it slightly to make sure it is snugged in.

Replace the glove box and voila'. Done.
