How to Create Video Ringtones for the iPhone

Ringtones have come to represent any sound your phone makes when someone calls you. They can be tones, portions of songs, jokes or anything that can be created in audio format. The current generation of the iPhone also permits you to load or create video ringtones for your phone. A video ringtone performs the same function as the traditional ringtone as well as displaying tailored video that is customizable for every person in your address book.You can create a video ringtone through the use of third-party software.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Download and install Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate (URL is listed in the resources).

  2. Step 2

    Open the Xilisoft application and select the "MPEG-4" profile with the audio quality set to highest.

  3. Step 3

    Select the "File->Open" menu options to choose the video to use for creating the video ringtone. Choose the top button on the resulting menu.

  4. Step 4

    Choose the "Set Start Point" menu button and configure the video length to be no more than 30 seconds long.

  5. Step 5

    Select the video size option and choose the "480-320" size option with "Highest" video quality. Then choose the "Convert" button.
