---Local Sales Network---
Local Sales Network (aka LSN) is a great way to find deals on electronics and other items. Type LSN into a search engine box, such as Google. It will walk you through the steps. You can create an account or just browse as a guest user. Be sure to use the settings for your particular city and state location. It will allow you to scan item listings within a specific mile radius.
In this case, you would type in iPod touch and search for the item. Most of the time, you can e-mail or call the person who wants to sell the item....and set up a date/time to buy it when you are in town. If you have any concerns, ask questions about the product. -

---EBay---
You can search on EBay for the iPod Touch. If you have a valid credit card and/or Pay Pal, a transaction can quickly and easily be processed by this website. Be sure to check the seller' s ratings and buyer feedback. I typically choose a Power Seller with high ratings, to be on the safe side. However, you may opt to purchase from other people.

---Amazon---
Amazon.com can have some good deals on the iPod Touch. Be careful when making your selection. Read the product details. If you are wanting the newest version of the iPod Touch, do not purchase an older version. If you do this, you will end up having to pay extra costs to pay for software upgrades through the iTunes website. Nobody wants to receive an iPod that does not do anything.

---Newspaper---
Look in the Classifieds section. There may be a gently used iPod Touch for sale. The listed price will probably be lower than buying it new. If their price is too high, you could make a lower offer.
Call and try to barter if you have something to trade. Perhaps you are willing to trade your digital camera for the iPod. Many persons are willing to take reasonable offers. Keep it sensible. For example, do not offer to trade a pair of flip-flops for the iPod Touch. They will laugh and then proceed to hang up the phone. - 5
