How to Make a Twix Candy Bar
Learning to bake imitations of famous foods can be almost as fun as eating them! Twix candy bars are a popular treat for people of all ages, and are surprisingly easy to recreate in your own kitchen. Things You'll Need
- Shortbread cookies
- Caramel Candies
- Water
- Milk chocolate morsels or baking chips
- Parchment paper

Arrange your cookies on a baking sheet so that they are not touching each other.

Put the caramel candies in a saucepan or pot and add approxiametly 1/4 cup of water per 40 candies. Melt the candies over medium heat, stirring often to blend in the water and prevent the bottom from burning.

Spoon the melted caramel over each cookie. The amount you use for each cookie will depend on the size of the cookies you have chosen. You want enough to cover the entire top side of the cookie.

Put the cookies in the refriderator immediately, and leave them there until the caramel sets or hardens.

Melt the chocolate. This can be done on the stove or in the microwave.

Dip the cookies in the melted chocolate and lay them on the parchment paper. Once the chocolate sets, the cookies will be ready to eat.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to have all of your ingredients and necessary equipment ready before you begin cooking. Also, don't forget to clear out space in your refriderator to make room for the baking sheet(s). To recreate the peanut butter Twix bars, add a layer of peanut butter on top of the hardened caramel before you dip the cookies in the melted chocolate.
The melted chocolate may be hot, so be sure to use an utensil, such as tongs or a fork, when dipping the cookies.
