Draw Police Vehicles

Police vehicles are fascinating to people of all ages. From playing with toy police cars to watching action movies with high speed police chases, there is just something exciting about the vehicles police use. Drawing a police car can be accomplished with relative ease by drawing out the basic skeletal frame of the car with simple shapes and added details as you go. This illustration is perfect for a class project. You can even invent your own Police Department name and place it on the side door of your new police car illustration.

The right diagonal line should be pointing toward the upper left corner. Draw a horizontal line to connect these two diagonal lines.

Connect these two lines with a diagonal line.

    • 7

Color the windows gray, the front and back section of the car black. Leave the roof and two side doors white. Color the right half of the light blue. Leave a white space in the middle. Color the left half of the police light red. Color the taillight red. Color the right end of the headlight yellow. Color the tires black but leave the rims white.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can add a shield, or the numbers "911" to the side doors to make the car look more realistic.

  • Place a sheet of paper under the illustration when you are inking or coloring it to prevent the ink from bleeding onto your desk.
