Power on your Zune MP3 player. Press and hold the "Play/Pause" button on the front of your Zune to power it on. If that does not work, plug the Zune MP3 player to your computer with the USB cable to charge the Zune. It will power on immediately when connected and you will see the main operating menu, called the "Home Screen."

Listen to the radio with your Zune MP3 player. All Zune MP3 players have a built-in FM tuner. This allows you to listen to the FM radio on your Zune MP3 player by selecting "Radio" from the home screen. You can even tag songs you hear that you like for later purchase. Transfer files to your Zune MP3 player. The Zune MP3 player can sync with your PC wirelessly to transfer files. Before connecting your Zune MP3 player to your computer you will need to install the Zune software that came packaged with the Zune MP3 player. This will help you manage the files you want to transfer.

Listen to MP3s on your Zune MP3 player. Press and hold the back button to get to the home screen if you are not there already. Select "Play Music" with the Zune pad to listen to your MP3s. Choose the category of music and then the album. Or press the Zune pad in the center to see a song list.

Press left or right on the Zune pad to view your pictures by date of by folder name. Select a picture when you want to view it. You can also select "Play Slideshow" to view all of the pictures in a slideshow.

Download more media to your Zune MP3 player. You can purchase more media from the Zune marketplace to download to your Zune MP3 player. Create an account at the Zune website and buy some Microsoft Points. You will use them to purchase MP3s, videos and more from the Zune marketplace. Buy items that you like and they will download into your Zune software. When they are done downloading you can wirelessly connect your Zune MP3 player to your computer to transfer the new media over to your Zune MP3 player by clicking on the items that you want to transfer.
