How to Download Music From Imeem for Free

Imeem is a video- and music-sharing website that offers both a free and a paid membership to users. The free membership offers streaming but restricts downloading. However, there are programs to get around this. Without paying for the full membership, it is possible to download streamed content and play it later. This is important for anyone who wants to download Imeem content without having to pay for the full membership.

• Free music Zilla
• FLV player

1. Follow the link in Resources to download the Free Music Zilla program. This program captures the streaming music on Imeem and then downloads it into an FLV format in a matter of seconds.

2. Follow the second link in Resources to Imeem and sign up for a free account. Do not register for the pay membership. Without an account, you will not be allowed to browse or stream a majority of the music that is available.

3. Download and install the Applian FLV player at the Applian website (the final link in Resources). An FLV player is necessary, because the files on Imeem are converted into an FLV format.

4. Open up Free File Zilla. Go to Imeem and select "Browse" in the top toolbar. Stream a song that you want downloaded. For the song to be downloaded into Free File Zilla, it must first stream.

5. Click the radial button next to the files in the Free File Zilla window, then click "Download." The download will only last a few seconds.

6. Right-click on the downloaded file and select "Open." The song will now play in the Applian FLV player.
