Make It Yourself Clip In Hair Extensions And Save Tons of Money

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Clips as seen in photo
  • Needle
  • Thread
  • Hair either Human or fake can get at Sally's or online
  1. Step 1

Have you ever gone to the salon and inquired about Hair Extensions?
The least expensive ones are around $1600 and require monthly detanglemnts.
Either you can have the glued in - painless but do havoc to your hair.
Or, Sewn in which is VERY painful and still have to be touched up every three months (and they recommend no swimming).

  2. Step 2

Most Retail Beauty supplies sell the hair that has a long end to it - not the plain hair by itself. You can by them at all lengths and widths. From 1" wide to 16" wide. The one inch ones are good to add dark hair or light hair strips. Or you can buy Hot pink, purple or blue. Adds a great streak to your hair. Length wise best is at least 6" to 12" long.

  3. Step 3

Cut them out in pieces by the width. Two long for the back. Depending on how thick you want your hair. 2 pieces about 3-4 inches wide for the sides. Two pieces for the very front or top part. Or you can just have 2 long ones to slip in the back to perk up your hair to make it longer. Hair comes curly, straight and other choices. Human hair is easier to work with. Human hair can be washed, colored, curled, etc.

  4. Step 4

Lay your hair out with right side down. Line a clip up good side of clip to inside of hair. Two holes line up at top on clip is where you would sew the clip on by hand with needle and thread. Depending on how wide is how many clips you should sew. See photo for clips.
That's it. Clip under neath your hair and you are beautiful.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take them out when you sleep.
