It isn't enough to create your blog but now you will have to promote it. With a little time and effort it can be easy to get traffic to your blog.

One way to promote your blog is to register your blog with search engines. The most popular being google's URL submission. I provided a link below. It doesn't stop here however there are hundreds of free web site submissions available. Search free website submission, free search engine submission and free website promotion in your search box. It will be up to you to do your homework and decide which sites to join. Many are as simple as typing in your URL address and selecting search engines and clicking Submit.
Step 2

Another great way to promote your blog is to register your blog with Ping services. Ping is a service that notifies servers of a blog's update. Some blogs have this service already activated with a ping service. It doesn't hurt however to register your blog with several ping services. A very simple and easy to use ping service is Ping-O-Matic. You can find more ping services by entering ping service in your search box.

An easy way to promote your blog is to register your blog with blog directories. Blog directories are usually free to sign up with and will list your blog in an appropriate category. It is much like a phone book for your blog. There are so many blog directories out there that it would be difficult to mention them all. To find a directory search blog directory in your search box.

Many blog promoting tools are already included in your blog. Be sure that your settings are set for public view. Activate your Navbar by hitting the Next Blog on your blog's navigation bar. Allow followers and add a RSS feed that will keep viewers up to date. Activate the e-mail post option for viewers to e-mail your posts to others.

A great way to increase traffic to your blog is to create a signature on your e-mails with a link to your blog. Every time you send out an e-mail you will be promoting your blog. Try adding a brief description of your blog to attract readers of your e-mails to click on your blog's link.

Show off your blog to social networking sites like My Space, Face Book, Twitter and More. Don't stop at the one announcement, continue making frequent announcements of your blog. You may have friends that missed the news before or gained new friends that aren't aware you have a blog.

Create flyers with a brief description of your blog and the blog's URL address and pass them out to your community. Great places to start are your work place, your spouse's work place or your church.
