Children and adults alike have large imaginations. Nowadays, pirate parties and pretending to be a pirate is huge, especially since "Pirates of the Caribbean" was release on video. If you're creative, there are plenty of ways to make pirate outfits and accessories for those who wish to become a pirate. Learn how to fold a paper captain's hat for any little buccaneer looking to rule the high seas.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 large piece of paper
  1. Step 1
     

    Fold the piece of paper in half with the open end facing you.

  2. Step 2
     

    Grab the two upper corners of the creased end and fold each corner toward the center. This will create a point on the top.

  3. Step 3
     

    Fold the bottom edges up toward the center. Lift and crease the side that faces up, then flip the paper over and repeat on the opposite side.

  4. Step 4

    Stick your fingers inside the hat and "fluff" it out by pushing the two long ends in toward each other.

  5. Step 5

    Wear your hat.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add feathers and adornments after the hat is completed to create a unique and customized look.
  • Don't pull too hard when opening the hat up. You could tear it.
