Rorschach from the Watchmen Movie

Rorschach is a character from the Watchmen who is the anti hero. He is a clever and a little bit obsessed investigator. He believes in vigilante justice and is the most feared of the Watchmen group. Try making his costume for the next Comicon convention or Halloween.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • White panty hose
  • Trench Coat
  • Fedora Hat
  • Ribbon
  • Black Pants
  • Purple Gloves
  • Scarf
  1. Step 1

First to work on is your mask. There are all kinds of different things you can use for your mask. You can use a pair of white stockings or a white ski mask or balaclava, a ninja head piece that you have bleached white. You will need to make a design on the mask. You can take a pair of black stockings to use over your eyes so you can see out and put a ski mask or balaclava or white stockings over that. See the video below for different designs. Also, you can buy a mask from eBay or costume shops or the link below which is only $18.75.

  2. Step 2

You will need an ink blot type of stain on your white mask. See the video below for different designs. Spray a blob of paint or actually ink on to the front of your mask and fold it over and squeeze to get a design. You could also draw in a pattern and use a felt pen to color it in.

  3. Step 3

Most of these other items can be found at thrift stores. If you plan ahead of time you have plenty of time to find the pieces you will need. Look for a Fedora type hat, a trench coat, black or white panty hose (believe it or not you can find them still in the package) black pants, black shoes and black gloves and beige scarf.

  4. Step 4

To customize your costume you can buy a ribbon to go around the Fedora Hat, and purple gloves instead of the black gloves. The gloves from the Joker costume are said to be a good match.
