How to Wear a Suit Vest for Women
The suit is not only the primary ingredient in professional attire, the addition of the vest can be a stylish expression of your personal taste. And, who can resist the men's wear for women trend? A vest that's part of a three-piece suit will match the rest of the suit exactly, but you can add contrast to a two-piece suit by accessorizing with a vest that's complementary rather than matching. Finding cool ways to pair ties with vests is another option. You can also use suit vests to wear with more casual looks.

1
Look for patterns and colors for your vest, much as you would select cardigans, jackets, or accessories. Consider how the vest will coordinate with your existing suit wardrobe. A cream linen or light gray wool vest could coordinate with a darker suit, while a darker vest would complement a lighter suit.

2
Opt for a vest with a full back so you look put together even when you remove your jacket, or in case you wear your vest with other clothing items. The vest should not be too tight when buttoned and should overlap the waistband of your pants by a mere inch or less.

3
Get dressed in your dress shirt, suit pants and belt or braces. A classic white shirt is always a safe and simple choice. Your vest should be sitting with its hem just below the waistband of your pants, and be buttoned fully and comfortably if you are wearing it with a suit.

4
If you want to wear a tie or scarf, tuck it under your collar. Tuck your tie under your vest so the tail disappears under the vest. Add a pocket square that coordinates with your vest design and coloring if you wish.

For a more casual look, take a queue from singer Charice who wears a satin black tie and brimmed hat with a white shirt and black pants, for a trendy go-anywhere outfit.
