How to Learn QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks by Intuit is an innovative, easy to use, program that can make running a small business easier. It manages accounts, invoices, payments, and tracks both expenses and profits. For those new to accounting software, this program may be a little intimidating but by follow a few simple steps, you can put this powerful program to work for you.

Instructions

1. 

   Download a free copy of QuickBooks from Intuit's website. This copy only allows for a maximum of 20 customers, but that will allow you to at least learn the software.

2. 

   Watch the QuickBooks tutorial video that will pop up right after download. You can also access the tutorial videos by clicking "Help" and "Tutorials."

3. 

   Browse QuickBooks and play with the features. Each icon shows a different feature. Learn which icon accesses what features.

4. 

   Using your sample information, add accounts and a sample customer. Then, try setting up an invoice using your sales examples.

5. 

   Visit Learnthat.com for a free tutorial. Follow step-by-step instruction.

6. 

   Check out Intuit's training programs. Choose from in-person training, online training, or self-paced CD instruction.

Tips & Warnings

• Follow on screen prompts. Don't be afraid to experiment.

• Do not download shareware versions of Quickbooks from other sites as many such software downloads contain viruses. Delete example information before entering your actual information.
