Using hair gel is a great way to keep your hairstyle in place throughout the day. But if you apply your hair gel unevenly, some of your hair may be sticky while other parts of your hairstyle wilt or grow frizzy over time. If your hair gel is really uneven, you can even end up with flakes of extra gel hanging from your hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hair gel
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Brush
  • Comb
  1. Step 1

Make sure your hair is clean and dry before you apply the hair gel.

  2. Step 2

Dab or pump the hair gel onto the palms of your hands.

  3. Step 3

Rub your palms together, getting the hair gel onto your fingers as well. This will evenly distribute the gel.

  4. Step 4

Wave your hands in the air for a few seconds.

  5. Step 5

Starting at the front of your head, quickly apply the hair gel, getting the gel down to the roots.

  6. Step 6

If you don't have a strong enough hold, you can reapply. It is better to reapply than to remove extra gel.
