How to Draw a Lamborghini Diablo

Lamborghinis have always had a reputation for being expensive, powerful, fast and extremely flashy. If you can't quite afford a Lamborghini on a budget, then the world of illustration can come to your aid. You can draw your own Lamborghini by breaking down the car into it's most basic geometric shapes and adding details on top of the layer of shapes. For the example in this article you will be drawing a Lamborghini Diablo. You can use the techniques you learn in this article to draw other types of cars.

• Paper Pencil Black Ink Pen Kneaded Eraser

Instructions

1. 

   Draw a hexagon (6 sided shape) for the hood of the car. Make the bottom side very wide as well as the immediate left and right sides. The top left and right corners should be small. Add the window with a trapezoid that has a smaller top than bottom. Add the wheels with "L" shapes on each side of the hood.

2. 

   Draw a horizontal line across the bottom of the hood for the bumper. Add 2 diagonal line to the hood running down the middle of the hood. Add rectangular shapes on the left and right side of the front window to create the side view mirrors. Add a diagonal triangle to the front window on each side.

3. 

   Add the spoiler with 2 rectangles coming out of the top of the car. Connect a horizontal curved line across the top of the car. Add another parallel line across the top of it. On each side of the horizontal line add a small vertical line. Draw a triangle inside each side triangle on the left and right side of the front window. Add two small diagonally turned rectangles on the middle section of the hood.

4. Draw a small shield like shape on the top middle of the bumper for the Lamborghini symbol. Draw a horizontal line through the middle of the bumper, splitting it in two. Add a rectangle in the middle bottom section of the bumper for the grill. Add thin rectangles on each side of this shape for lights. Add a thin triangle on each side just above the lights for an additional set of head lights. Add curved sideway triangles to the upper left and right corner of each hood.

5. Create the details on the frame. Add crisscrossing diagonal lines to the two middle rectangles on the hood, the curved triangles, and the grill on the bumper.

6. 

   Ink the entire drawing. Let the ink dry and carefully erase all of your pencil lines.

Tips & Warnings

• Once your illustration is done you can make a copy of it and color it without damaging the original.

• Be careful to let the ink dry before erasing the pencil or the picture will smudge.
