How to Make a Toy Car Out of Junk

Toys are important to have. They entertain and they add to the fun. You can bond with your child by helping him make a toy car out of the junk you have around your house.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Quart-size milk carton 2 wooden dowels 4 lids from food roughly the same size Hot glue gun Hot glue
  1. Step 1

    Open the mouth of the milk carton to make it a full rectangle.

  2. Step 2

    Cut off the top of the carton down to the halfway mark.

  3. Step 3

    Glue the carton back to how it looked before you opened it entirely.

  4. Step 4

    Mark the milk carton 2 inches above the bottom on all sides.

  5. Step 5

    Place a wooden dowel where you marked your milk carton and shove it through the carton through to the opposite side.

  6. Step 6

    Measure down 3 inches from the top of your milk carton.

  7. Step 7

    Shove the other wooden dowel through the milk carton where you have marked it.

  8. Step 8

    Poke a hole in the center of all four lids.

  9. Step 9

    Place hot glue on the hole you created in the center of the lid.

  10. Step 10

    Put the dowel through the hot glue and hole. Try to have at least 1/2 inch of the dowel through the lid.

  11. Step 11

    Repeat steps 7 and 8 for the last three wheels.
