How to Access a D-Link Online Account

D-Link is one of the leading companies producing quality networking devices. One of those devices is the D-Link router. There are many different types of routers offered by D-Link to suit many different needs. There may come a time that you need to change information for your router. This could be your user name, or password or IP address. To do these tasks, you must be able to sign into your router account. No matter what style of router you have, the sign-in process is the same and relatively simple.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wireless connection to your router Router address
  1. Step 1

    Turn on your computer and make sure the router is powered on and connected properly.

  2. Step 2

    Open your Web browser, and in the address bar type in "192.168.0.1."

  3. Step 3

    Type in your user name and password. If this is the first time you have connected to your router, your user name will be "admin" and the password is blank. Once you sign in under admin, you can change your user name and password.

  4. Step 4

    Proceed to the page you are looking for.To simply change your password, follow that link. To set up your router, you can run the Internet Connection Wizard in manual or automatic setup mode.

  5. Step 5

    Finish the processes you are looking for while logged into your D-Link account, save changes and sign out.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always password-protect your Internet connection. D-Link tech support offers emulators or simulators of your router model, giving you a preview of what you will see when you log in (see Resources).
  • If you are having problems with your router, you can reset it to factory settings by inserting a small pin in the router reset port and holding for 10 seconds.
