How to Make a Pop Tab Belt
Being "green" means looking for ways to save the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling. People are finding more ways each day to reuse products in new and innovative ways. Pop can tab belts, bracelets, purses, and other items made using pop can tabs are appearing everywhere as people increasingly reuse products. These items are easy to make and require few supplies. Be sure to recycle the soda can after popping the tab to save for your belt. Make a pop can tab belt and decorate it with ribbon to show your style and greenness.

Cut the ribbon into two 10-inch pieces. Tie the pieces of ribbon together approximately 8 inches from each end.

Thread the ends of each ribbon through the two holes on each pop can tab. Laying a second tab so it overlaps the first, thread the ribbon through those holes. Then thread the ribbon through the first tabs. Turn the beginning of the belt over.

Cross the ribbons. Add a third pop can tab by threading the ribbon through the tab's two holes. Thread through the second tab holes. Turn the belt over.

Resume this pattern of threading into a new tab and back into the prior tab. Crossing the ribbon and turning the belt over. Knot the remaining ribbon when your belt is long enough. Cut the ribbon ends.
