Create a skin cleanser to exfoliate, purify and moisturize your skin by combining a variety of elements. Common ingredients that exfoliate are oatmeal, soft fruit seeds, mild clay, sugar, salt or chopped herbs. Mix these with other ingredients that help to moisturize (olive oil, vitamin E oil, honey, avocado, egg yolk, milk) and remove toxins (cider vinegar and witch hazel). Mix equal parts but always use less of the most potent ingredient (in this case, the cider vinegar or witch hazel).

2
Create an efficient facial toner by combining an ingredient that removes toxins with a pore-refining ingredient. A main ingredient in toners is vinegar or witch hazel. Mix these with equal parts of a pore-refining ingredient and an ingredient that refreshes the skin. Common pore-refining ingredients include dried crushed herbs, beeswax and clay. Good refreshing ingredients include mint, lemon, rosemary, lemon balm, lavender and peppermint. Mix the elements together and dab on the face with a cotton ball.

Create a mineral makeup that has several cosmetic uses. Use a mineral such as Mica to do this. Combine equal parts red Mica or Bordeaux Mica, with a half gold Mica to make a shimmery powder that can be used as blush, lip balm (when mixed with Vaseline) or eyeshadow. Other minerals can also help provide color to makeup. Simply combine with a little bit of watery clay in a food processor and let sit in a container to form eyeshadow and concealer (concealer can be made with a concealer powder base and natural color base, which must be purchased, then mixed with beeswax, aloe vera and rose water). Or mix the powder pigments with Vaseline for shiny eyeshadow or lip gloss.

Create mascara by mixing a dark eyeshadow shade or dark mineral powders with a substance such as aloe vera. Dip a clean eyelash brush in the mixture and wipe off the extra. Be extremely careful when applying to your eyes.

Make your own makeup remover if desired, although making your own cosmetics usually involves ingredients that are removed easily with water. Mix a couple of tablespoons of castor oil and olive oil, and then a couple of teaspoons of canola oil. Use a cotton ball or tissue to dab this onto your makeup.
