Step 1
Open your Internet browser to any page. For the sake of this example, Internet Explorer is used. The first pop-up blocker to turn off would be the one in Windows.

Left click on "Tools" above your Explorer toolbar.

Scroll down and click on "Pop-up blocker," then click on "Turn off pop-up blocker."

Follow Steps 1 and 2, and if you wish to select specific sites to continue to allow pop-ups, instead of clicking on "Turn off pop-up blocker," click on "Pop-up blocker settings." (You can choose to allow pop-ups only on specific sites, which will leave the ones that annoy you disabled).

Screen to enable specific website pop-ups.Type in the name of the website you wish to allow pop-ups from. Once you have added the websites you wish to allow, you can go back to tools and proceed to "Turn off pop-up blocker."

Disable the pop-up blocker in your toolbar. Even though you may have your pop-ups turned off in Windows, if you have a toolbar installed on your computer it can still block pop-ups. The most frequently installed toolbars are the Yahoo toolbar and Google toolbar.

Yahoo logoClick on the drop-down menu next to the pop-up blocker button to disable the pop-up blocker in the Yahoo toolbar. Select "Disable pop-up blocker."

Google logoClick the "Options" button on the Google toolbar. In "Accessories," clear the box next to the pop-up blocker option.

See the "Help" section of your program if you have any other pop-up blockers or toolbars installed.
