Changing your hair color is a great way to add natural style and flair. Unfortunately, if bleaching occurs, it can be harder to get back to your natural darker color. Brunettes who go lighter find this to be especially difficult. However, there are ways to return to your natural brunette color.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Semipermanent hair color (in a warm brown shade) Semipermanent hair color (in exact color of your roots) Color-protecting conditioner and shampoo
  1. Step 1

Seek professional consultation if possible because at-home dying is difficult for beginners. It should be avoided if you are hesitant. If you are comfortable doing it, yourself proceed and start rinsing hair.

  2. Step 2

Use the first semipermanent hair kit in warm brown to warm the color back slowly. If you've bleached the hair, the hues that make your hair brunette have been stripped. This first kit will replace those colors.

  3. Step 3

Choose a kit with conditioners that will nurture hair follicle. Once color has been applied according to the directions, let your hair air dry completely.

  4. Step 4

Apply the second kit (root color) to your hair, and follow the directions completely. You should be back to your natural color at this point.

  5. Step 5

Style as desired, when your hair is completely dry. After using a color-protecting conditioner and shampoo, your hair will take on its vibrancy again.
