How to Rotate Text on Photoshop CS2

With many programs, there are often several ways to achieve the same effect or result. This is particularly true of graphics programs. Here is a simple, straight-forward way to rotate only selected text in Photoshop CS2.

Instructions

1. Type the text on a layer.

2. Select the text layer in the layers palette.

3. Select "Free Transform" in the Edit pull down menu. This will create a small box around the selected text.

4. Hover the cursor over the text and the surrounding box. The cursor will change into a double arrow when it reaches any corner of the box or when it passes over any point of the box's edge.
   Click and hold the mouse and while you are holding the mouse, you can rotate the text in any direction or angle.

5. When the text is where you want it, press "Enter" to complete the action.

• This command also enables you to shrink or stretch text.
