How to Sell Your Stuff At The Flea Market
Flea markets provide a large selection for consumers conscious of their spending. The flea market provides a venue for locating great finds from antiques to clothing and electronics. The market also provides a wealth of opportunity for sellers. Many sellers earn money at flea markets during spring cleaning, when they move or as a hobby or supplemental income. Flea markets offer the benefit of a common venue that draws targeted traffic, and anyone can participate by following a few rules.

1
Contact your local flea market with high consumer traffic. Request the rules and regulations for vendors. Most flea markets provide important information, such as vendor setup times, insurance, prohibition of specific items and other legalese. Make sure you are allowed to sell the items you have in mind.
-
2
Collect each of the items you would like to sell. The items must be clean and free from excessive damage. For example, if you are selling clothing, wash it or have it dry cleaned. For electronics and other hard-surface items, give them a good wipe down with a disinfectant cleaner. Buyers are less likely to purchase soiled items, even at the flea market.

3
Select a labeling system. For example, you can use colored labels to identify reduced items or to group items by price. For instance, red could include all items under $5, while blue could indicate deeply discounted merchandise. Color coding your pricing labels also makes you more efficient during the selling process.

4
Go to the flea market and make your reservation. Most flea markets require vendors to reserve a space in advance. Pay the required fee for your space and keep your receipt or confirmation number.
-
5
Set up your station in advance to ensure you have ample time. Lay your products out neatly, and arrange them so buyers can easily see your pricing. Collect your money in a safe place, such as on your person, to prevent loss.
-
6
Leave your area clean and free of debris. Donate what you cannot sell, or you can always return to the flea market to sell the remainder of your items.
