Things You'll Need:
- hair dryer with a diffuser
- moisturizing shampoo
- moisturizing conditioner
- mousse
- gel
- hair spritz

Step 1
First things first. Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo every other day. Curly hair tends to be dry and washing your hair everyday can dry out your hair, even if you are using a moisturzing shampoo. The dryness is the contributor to frizz. There are many shampoos on the market made especially for curly hair. Follow it up with a moisturizing conditioner at least once a week to lock in even more moisture.

Step 2
If you have loose waves or curls you should use mousse when your hair is wet. Mousse will put a soft hold on your hair. Follow the directions on the mousse can to see how much you should use based on the length of your hair. If you have tighter curls use mousse and a dollop of gel. The gel will give tougher curls the extra hold it needs.

Step 3
Comb through hair with a wide tooth comb or with your fingers. Do not use a brush on curly hair. That is an instant frizz creator!
-
Step 4
Blow dry your hair with a diffuser on low air and high heat. The diffuser acts as a buffer from the stream of air blasting out of the dryer. Diffusers gently dry your hair to eliminate the frizz factor. Blow dry your hair upside down for extra body and refrain from touching your hair with your hands as much as possible. Contrary to popular belief "scrunching" actually causes more frizziness because you are disrupting the curls.

Step 5
Style your hair and finish it off with a hair spritz. This will hold your style and lock in the curls. Many companies offer anti-humidity formulas that work extra hard to keep your hair from frizzing out once it is exposed to rain and extreme humidity.
