    Instructions

      • 1

Launch the Internet Explorer browser by double-clicking its Desktop icon or selecting it from the Start menu.

      • 2

Click "Tools" in the top menu bar of Internet Explorer. Select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu. Click the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to Multimedia. Check the box next to "Smart Image Dithering." This will help to ensure that images are loaded properly.

      • 3

Visit the Windows Update website (link in the Resources section and in the Start menu in the Windows operating system). Check for any software updates to your computer's graphic and/or video card. Also, check that your installed graphics software (such as DivX) is up-to-date.

      • 4

Right-click on the image in Internet Explorer and select "View Original Image" from the pop-up menu. This will force the browser to display the original image.

      • 5

Check to see if any installed Internet browsing accelerators are compressing your browsing too much and causing the blurred pictures. For example, the MSN Accelerator (used to enhance the speed of an individual's Internet connection) can sometimes cause blurry images due to high levels of compression. Right-click the "MSN Accelerator" in your Windows task bar (bottom right-hand corner of your PC's screen) and set the level of compression to "None."

Consider switching to another web browser, such as Mozilla's Firefox or Google's Chrome. Test whether the blurred image is a problem specific to Internet Explorer, or if it is a problem with the host website and appears blurry in all browsers.
