Step 1
Move your mouse to the bottom of your screen and right-lick on the blue bar. If the blue bar is not there, close any windows that are open by clicking on the red "X" in the top right corner of the page. Save any work before you close it. You should now see the familiar blue taskbar at the bottom of the page. Right-click anywhere on it, and a menu with "Properties" listed will appear.
-
Step 2
Right-click on the "Properties" link. Another menu will pop up that reads "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties." Click on the Taskbar menu. There will be a list of options to choose from, with small boxes you can check.
-
Step 3
Check to see if the second option, "Autohide the Taskbar," is not checked. This will make the taskbar disappear and then come back into sight when your mouse moves over the area at the bottom of the page. (Of course, if you prefer this option, keep it checked.)
-
Step 4
Check the box for the third option on the list, "Keep Taskbar on Top of Other Windows." This will keep your taskbar on top of whatever windows you have open. Choose "Apply" at the bottom right of the popup and then "OK." The window will close, and your taskbar will be visible at the bottom of your page.
