How to Transfer Files From a Computer to a Blackberry

Because the BlackBerry series of smartphones is designed for the working professional, the manufacturer makes it easy to take your most-used files from your computers with you. The process is very simple, and you can transfer everything from MP3 files to word-processing documents to your BlackBerry.

Instructions

1. Gather your files. Create a new folder on your desktop and transfer all of your files into this folder. If you are trying to transfer more than one type of file (like MP3 and document files), it is a good idea to separate this folder into subdirectories.

2. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer with a mini-USB cord. Insert the small end into the phone and the large end into your computer's USB cord. Then go to the "My Computer" section and select your phone from the menu.

3. Transfer your files by simply dragging the contents of the folder you created in Step 1 over to your BlackBerry. If you have created specific folders, or have specific programs your files are designed to work with, make sure to transfer them to the right directory.

4. Wait for the transfer icon to disappear, then unplug your mini-USB cord to disconnect your BlackBerry.

• You can also download files directly to a formatted MicroSD card by plugging the card into a special memory card slot or converter, then dragging the files to the card in the manner outlined above.
