Although some may find it superficial, most men are attracted to looks. Good looks are hard to determine, however, and no guy has the same taste. In general, if you are trying to impress a guy, you need to take some extra care with your appearance. Keep your hair clean, your face washed, and maybe get a manicure. However, some guys are not into looks at all, and prefer a girl who looks like she cares about her health, not her appearance. Also make sure not to go overboard.

Men love support, so make sure you respect what they do. Do not try and attract them if you are only trying to change them down the road, or it will not work out. Even if you dislike what he does, and would never do it yourself, you can still support him in it. Men are crazy about a woman who understands and backs him up.

Men also give in to intelligence. You don’t need to be a certified genius to achieve this level, but a certain amount of knowledge is preferable for most guys – and I’m not talking about who was on last night’s E Hollywood Story. It is important to keep yourself updated on what’s going on around you, so check out a newspaper, or take a French class. Be sure to sound like you act as well. Too many “like”s in a sentence will be sure to turn the guy off. Being ditsy will not help you out here, and not too many ditsy girls will hold down a long term relationship.

Be somewhat open to new ideas. If you are turned off to everything he may offer he’s not going to want to stay with you. Don’t ever be afraid to get dirty, and if you’re scared, tell him!

There is a fine line between being classy and slutty. Be sure to stay on the classic side, and always use your best manners. Shallow guys love a tight mini and a push-up bra, but the deep ones hate that. The type of guy who is dependable and willing to commit will rarely fall for a slutty, midriff bearing girl.
