This article tells how to clean a cd disc.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Clean cotton cloth
  1. Step 1

Do not use water. Swipe the clean cotton cloth around the rings of the cd disc. If there is a scratch on it that you may have to contact a professional disc cleaner that can be found on line or in the yellow pager. Or you can get a disc fixer from a local office supply store.

  2. Step 2

A disc skin can be purchased to further protect the cd disc after it has been cleaned with the cotton cloth. Be careful to not place the disc on a flat surface where the music or movie is on. Hold the disc around the edges so that you do not further get finger prints on the cd disc.

  3. Step 3

Place the cd disc back the case each time after use. Do not just place the cd anywhere. The cd cover is there for the protection of the cd and it should be used for protection.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep your cd's in a media cabinet for proper storage and to keep the cd disc organized.
  • Do not use water on the cd. Dust is the only thing that will get on the cd normally unless used while eating food or doing a special project.
