Step 1
Go to http://pingomatic.com/. You can link directly to this website by visiting the Resources section of this article.
-
Step 2
One of the great things about Ping-O-Matic is that you do not even have to register to use the service. You simply input the name of the site or article, and the corresponding URL, and that is it. It is so quick and easy to use that NOT using could be a big mistake.
-
Step 3
Once you are on the home page of Ping-O-Matic, you will see a green box that asks for Blog Name, Blog Home Page, and RSS URL (optional). Again, don't worry if you are not submitting a blog. This works perfectly for eHow articles too.
-
Step 4
In the blank beside Blog Name, input your eHow article's Title.
-
Step 5
Next, input the URL of your article in the space beside Blog Home Page. I prefer to copy and paste the URL directly from eHow so that I don't make a mistake inputting the URL address, but if you are manually typing the URL, make sure you do so accurately. You can leave the RSS URL blank.
-
Step 6
Now you will see "Services to Ping." You will have a choice of 21 different services. I check all of them so that my article gets pinged to every service Ping-O-Matic submits to.
-
Step 7
Once you have checked all of the services you want to ping, simply click on "Send Pings." You will now see a confirmation of all of the services that your article was sent to. That is it. You are done.

on 9/23/2009 I've never heard of this Pingomatic and if I can look past it's goofy name I'll give it a whirl. ;-) Thanks for another great, helpful article. 5* and happily recommended.
