Instructions

    • 1

Sand all of the edges of the three pieces of wood. This will make them easier to work with, and the paint or stain will adhere to them better. Wipe down all of the sanded pieces with the dampened towel to be rid of excess sand or wood bits.

Nail the two 12-by-20-by-1 inch pieces at a right angle by nailing them along the 20-inch length. The 1-inch width of one of the pieces will be nailed to the top of the other piece of wood. This "L" shape will be the support for the recipe book holder.

Nail the smallest piece of wood to the opposite end of the angle on the edge of the piece of wood.

    • 4

Paint or stain the recipe book holder as desired.

    • 5

Let the paint or stain dry before use. The book will rest on the smallest piece of wood, and the holder will lean back on the two legs of the large "L" shaped angle.

Tips & Warnings

  • You could use a very strong carpenter's glue instead of the nails, but you will need to clamp the pieces in place until the glue is dry.
