How to Burn a CD on a Dell Computer
Dell computers make it easy to create your own CDs. You can create backup copies of existing CDs, make unique compilations and burn downloaded albums to CD. Most Dell computers come complete with Sonic and Windows Media Player. Both allow you to burn CDs. Sonic gives you the most flexibility. However, both applications are easy to use to burn CDs. The hardest part is deciding which songs to put on your personalized compilation albums.

Insert a CD into your CD burner.

Open either Sonic's Audio Module or Windows Media Player.

Choose "Audio CD" in Sonic. Choose "Burn" in Windows Media Player.

Click "Add Music" in Sonic and "Edit Playlist" in Windows Media Player. Browse for songs to add. If you are using Windows Media Player, the songs must either be in a playlist or in the media library.

Click the big red button in the lower right corner to burn the CD in Sonic. Click "Start Burn" in the top left corner in Windows Media Player.

Tips & Warnings
Create a folder with all of the desired files before starting a burn project. This will make songs easier to find.
Create a playlist in Windows Media Player before starting a burn project.
To prevent burn errors or skips, don't run other applications or try to remove the CD while the burn is in progress,
