When emailing multiple files, the attachments list can grow long and unruly. Instead of attaching each individual file, there is a way to attach an entire folder to an email. Read on for tips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Compile a folder full of files you want to email. Make sure that everything in this folder is something you want to send. All files and folders inside will be sent to the recipient.

  2. Step 2

Right-click on the folder you want to send. This should be done directly on the folder icon.

  3. Step 3

When the menu pops up, choose "Send To" and then "Compressed (Zipped) Folder" as shown in the picture.

  4. Step 4

Your computer will work automatically and create a zipped version of your folder. It will be located in the same area as the original folder.

  5. Step 5

Log into your email account or start up your software and create a new email. This can be sent to any email address.

  6. Step 6

Click on "Attach" or "Attach files," then navigate to where the folder is stored on your computer. Remember to choose the zipped version of the folder. This will end in the .zip file extension.

  7. Step 7

Click "Send." Your email, along with a folder full of files, will be sent.

Tips & Warnings
  • This will work with both Windows XP and Windows Vista. You can send multiple folders at once using this method.
  • Watch out for the file size. Folders with a lot of files can take much longer to send.
