Step 1
Pluck the lowest string of the guitar; this is considered the seventh string. Adjust the corresponding tuning peg until it registers the letter B on the tuner. If the string is flat, turn the peg counter clockwise. If it is sharp, turn it clockwise.

Step 2
Pluck the sixth string; adjust the corresponding tuning peg until it registers the letter E on the tuner.

Step 3
Pluck the fifth string. Adjust the corresponding tuning peg until it registers the letter A on the tuner.

Continue along this path. Pluck the fourth string; adjust the corresponding tuning peg until it registers the letter D on the tuner.

Pluck the third string. Adjust the corresponding tuning peg until it registers the letter G on the tuner.

Continue on. There's more to do. Pluck the second string of the guitar; adjust the corresponding tuning peg until it registers the letter B on the tuner.

Pluck first string. Adjust the corresponding tuning peg until it registers the letter B on the tuner.
