Use a Toilet Seat Cover

Using a public restroom can be an uncomfortable experience for most of us. The toilet seat cover really makes it or breaks it. It is completely sanitary, and keeps the restrooms neat and clean. Not to mention, you'll actually be able to sit on the toilet. So before you squat, consider using the seat cover!

    Instructions

First, locate the toilet seat cover dispenser. It will usually be right above the toilet in your stall, but in some restrooms, there will be one general one outside the stalls. To properly remove the seat cover from the dispenser, grab the piece sticking out, and then pull the cover UP. After you pull it up, it will be half-way out. Now pull it DOWN. There you have it!

Now, slowly rip out the perforated hole in the middle, being careful not to rip the whole cover. After you've done this, you are ready to use your cover!

The seat cover will usually align with the shape of the toilet seat itself, so match which way it should go, and lay it down. Be careful not to let it slip, or it can fall into the toilet bowl, and you'll have to start over.

That's it! Once you've used the toilet, make sure to dispose of your toilet seat cover properly - there should be a small trash box attached to the wall of your stall. Fold it up, throw it out, and you're good to go!

    Tips & Warnings

    • If you're really feeling germ-o-phobic, just use two seat covers! Layer them on top of each other.

    • Always remember to wash your hands after using public restrooms.
