Things You'll Need:
- blender (a vitamix blender 4500 is great, but a normal blender will work, too)
- raw greens
- water or fruit juice
- raw fruits (or frozen fruits)
- honey (or another natural sweetener, optional)
-
Step 1
Place about 1 1/2 cups of liquid (water, fruit juice, coconut milk, etc.) in the blender with about 3 large handfuls of greens (spinach, kale, celery, chard, romaine, alfalfa, parsley, beet greens, and collard greens, etc.) Blend until smooth.
-
Step 2
Add an assortment of fruit (banabas, pear slices, peach slices, frozen berries, pineapple, etc.) and blend until well combined.
-
Step 3
Add a natural sweetener like honey or stevia, if desired, and blend thoroughly. You can also add in other healthy boosters such as ground flax seed, ground pumpkin seeds, or coconut oil.
