Celebrating St. Patrick's Day is a fun way to spend time with friends. But what about the kids? There are several ways to include the kids in all of the fun and festivities of St. Patrick's Day.

One way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with your children is to explore the history of the holiday. Check out some books from the local library or research St. Patrick on the internet.

Another way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with your children is to cook Irish food for the day. If you have finicky eaters try green food coloring in some of their favorites. One of my favorites is to make green eggs and ham. The kids love it and we accompany the meal with the Dr. Suess book.

The last suggestion that I have for St. Patrick's Day is to join in some of the festivities. Go to a local parade or some of the local festivals and fairs. What ever you do, have fun!

Much better ideas than giving kids more candy, money or electronics, which so many other holidays seem to be turning into! They might like pressing green clovers as well. Good article, 5*
