How to Do a Fancy Four Strand Braid

It is fun to do new styles with our hair. If you have been doing the same three strand braid for a while why not change to a four strand. It isn't too difficult and it has a neat flair.

Things You'll Need

• fingers!
• hair ties

Instructions

1. 

   Brush your hair thoroughly make sure every last tangle is out before you start your four strand braid.
   Separate your hair the hair into four even sized strands.

   Hold the two left in the left hand and the two right in the right hand.

2. 

   Take the inner left and cross it over the inner right.

   see image for braid!

3. 

   Take the outer left and put over inner left. AND take inner right and put over outer right.

   Look at the image!

4. 

   Now again cross over inner left over inner right.

5. 

   Now cross inner left over outer left AND outer right over inner right.

6. Go back to step 2 and repeat until your out of hair then tie it off with a hair band!

Tips & Warnings

• Go slow and notice the pattern

• 1. inner left over inner right 2.The left strand over the right ( in each hand pair) 3. The inner left over inner right. 4 Right over left ( in each hand pair). Repeat.

• Try this on someone else or with yarn to get the feel of the pattern.
