Insert a Hyperlink in a Yahoo Email

We have been using email to send and receive messages on an everyday basis. It’s a great tool to communicate with people we know. Email is also a great way to send website links to our contacts regarding interesting sites we came across. I usually send emails to family and friends each time I wrote new articles and put links in my message. Inserting a hyperlink in your email is very easy. Follow these steps:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Yahoo! Mail account
  • Internet connection
  1. Step 1

Sign in to your YahooMail! account. On your browser’s address bar, type www.yahoomail.com. Once the sign in page is loaded, supply your yahoo ID and password, then click the Sign In button.

  2. Step 2

After you have signed in successfully, compose a new message by clicking on New Email Message button. Supply the recipient(s) email address(es), subject, and then compose your message.

  3. Step 3

You can insert the hyperlink to your message body now. To do this, highlight the text or phrase where you want the hyperlink to be added, and then click on the hyperlink button found on the email toolbar. A pop-up box will show up. See the example on the left.

  4. Step 4

Open the web page you want to share and copy the web address. Paste the website address or URL for the link to point to into the hyperlink pop-up window. The highlighted text now has a link to the site you specified and you will notice it has been underlined.

  5. Step 5

If you want to add more hyperlink(s), just repeat steps 3 and 4 until you are done.

  6. Step 6

Send the email to your contact(s). When they receive the email, they can click on the link you created making it easier for them to visit the website you specified compared to manually typing the site address on their browser.
