How to Make Radish Rosettes

Whether you're making a special dinner for two or a tray for a party, radish rosettes are both quick to make and quick to impress. A time-tested treat that will garnish any cold dish with flair, these tasty vegetables look just as nice when served in a bowl by themselves. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

      Remove the roots and stems and scrub the entire bunch of radishes.

    • 2

      Using the paring knife, slice four pieces from the sides of the radish, evenly spaced and the thickness of a nickel, exposing the white flesh beneath.

      Holding the radish root side down, make two thin slices on each side over the white area, cutting two-thirds of the way down the side.

      Bend the slices out by using the edge of the knife and prying gently.

    • 5

      Scoop out a hole in the center of the top of the radish.

    • 6

      Place the finished rosettes in a bowl of ice water. The "petals" will open in about 15 minutes.
