Use a calling card to make a phone call from anywhere without worrying about having spare change.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Consider shopping online to find the calling card that best suits your needs.

  2. Step 2

Keep in mind that you can also purchase prepaid calling cards for a flat price. Some prepaid cards let you add credits to them as the credits run out.

  3. Step 3

Locate the toll free 800 or 888 network-access number on the card, and dial from any touch-tone phone.

  4. Step 4

Enter your personal identification (PIN) number, or follow the instructions on the card.

  5. Step 5

Dial the telephone number you wish to call. If you are dialing a number within the United States, dial 1 + area code + phone number; if you are calling outside the country, dial 011 + country code + city code + phone number.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have a prepaid calling card, you will be notified over the phone as to how much "talk time" you have remaining on your card, and you will also receive a 1-minute-remaining warning.

on 1/24/2008 Make sure the retailer you buy your phone card from has a guarantee. NOT MANY HAVE A GUARANTEE! However, SpeedyPin.com (http://speedypin.com) does have a full guarantee, and for that I am thankful and happy to share with you.
